Meet the team: Joseph Park

  1. How are you finding working at &Partners so far?


I find the team very engaging and accommodating. Everyone is also very knowledgeable at &Partners which is very motivating and inspiring.  


  1. What's your background and how did it lead to you working in your position?

I studied computer security for my undergrad, and my first job is out of university is a support engineer role before moving on to becoming a cyber security analyst at Royal Holloway University before I came to And-partners.


  1. What do you do at &Partners?


As a security analyst, I am responsible for managing security operations for our clients. Investigate into alerts and perform remediation to ensure their environments is secure. 


  1. What’s one thing that surprised you about working at &Partners?


The breadth and depth of knowledge that everyone has but the biggest surprise was how much passion and the vision shared by everyone for this company.  


  1. What are the values that drive you?


Growth is one of my core values. Not only do I keep looking for opportunities to grow as a person but also help others to grow as well. 


  1. What is something in your industry you must deal with that you want to fix?


Currently I can’t think of a problem that I want to fix. But in the future when I am more skilled I would want to give back to the community of cyber security. 


  1. What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?


I am working on expanding my knowledge on Microsoft services and technology, one example is Sentinel SIEM that we use to monitor attacks.


  1. What behaviour or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?


Curiosity. It drives me to search and learn more which brings the feeling of accomplishment to me. 


  1. Who are your biggest influences in life?


My Dad, an adventurer at heart and a person of influence who sets examples by doing and do good. And my Mom who is a fast learner and constantly pursues knowledge.


  1. What is your favourite quote you live by?


Don’t get jealous of someone else’s success when you have not worked hard enough.
